We accept cryptocurrency donations to all East Bay Community Foundation funds. Making a cryptocurrency contribution is a simple and tax-efficient way to support your community and help advance an inclusive, fair, and just East Bay.
The IRS classifies cryptocurrency as property for tax purposes, and your donation of cryptocurrency is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by U.S. law, meaning that you may qualify for an income tax deduction for the full appraised value of the crypto.
