East Bay Community Foundation’s Scholarships Program allows us to support the success of East Bay children and youth through funds established for any level of study, from preschool to postgraduate. Funds can support any area of educational expenses, including tuition, housing, books, supplies, and other educational fees. Award funds used for expenditures outside of tuition, fees, books, and required supplies may be taxable. Awards are typically paid directly to the institution providing instruction.
We currently administer 11 active scholarship funds, with assets totaling more than $2.3 million. Since 2002, we have helped award over $2 million in scholarships.
All scholarships must be awarded for charitable purposes, must comply with the Internal Revenue Service Codes and Statutes, and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Foundation’s Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, and policies.
We are unable to accept new scholarship funds at this time. When we are able to offer these types of funds again we will update this page.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please see information below for eligibility and selection criteria, deadlines, and contact information specific to each scholarship.
