The majority of our grantmaking guided by our program strategies is by invitation only.
Periodically we will open grant applications for organizations who work within one or more of our core program strategies.
Opportunities on this page come from the community funds and giving circles created by East Bay Community Foundation donors and fundholders. Most EBCF grants are issued from donor-advised funds at the recommendation of individual fundholders and many do not require application.

Core Grantees
Our core grantee partners are leaders in one or more of our core program strategies. Our grantmaking prioritizes organizations led by and in service to Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI), and South & Southwest Asian and North African (SSWANA) communities, and those impacted by multiple, intersectional systems of oppression.
