Bella Lopez is a Program Officer with the Community Investments and Partnerships department, where she leads work within the Community Organizing, Power-Building, and Movement Building program area. She is deeply committed to strengthening community organizations as they cultivate the power of everyday people to participate in systems reform and help build a more just, beloved community.

Before joining EBCF, Bella served as a Multicultural Fellow with the Power Pathway at the San Francisco Foundation, supporting power-building organizations across the Bay Area and managing the Rapid Response Fund for Movement Building. Prior to that, she worked with the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Center in Oakland, advancing intergenerational and multiracial democratic participation through local and state policy advocacy, voter and civic engagement campaigns, and liberatory coaching models designed to support transformative leadership development within young people.

A proud Oakland resident, Bella is dedicated to honoring and strengthening the legacy of community organizing in the East Bay. Outside of work, she can often be found running the trails of the East Bay Regional Parks, taking a lap around Lake Merritt, golfing at Lake Chabot, or enjoying a coffee at one of Oakland’s many neighborhood cafés.
