Celebrating our impact through a year of investment in the East Bay
“We are the leaders we’ve been looking for.” That’s a line from organizer and activist Grace Lee Boggs, echoing words June Jordan wrote in her 1978 “Poem for South African Women.” It’s also the spirit behind everything in this EBCF’s 2026 Impact Report.
This year, EBCF and our community of donors directed $25.4 million to organizations here in the East Bay, including $9.8 million that directly supported our 231 community partners: local organizations working to build a more just and inclusive region.
But numbers only tell part of the story. In the report, you will also see what that investment made possible:
- Richmond’s young people organized to renew a $99 million commitment to their own futures.
- Immigrant rights organizations won new protections for their neighbors, including county-wide “ICE-Free Zones.”
- Artists turned memory into murals, film, and story across the East Bay.
- Small business owners rebuilt, block by block, with EBCF’s support.
All of this happened because people came together in community and took action.
