Laura came to EBCF after two decades working in youth development, education, and community development—first in South Central LA and then in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. She joined EBCF in October 2015 as Grants Management Associate and has been learning constantly ever since. Her tenure at EBCF, including in her current role as Director of Grants Management & Scholarships, allows Laura to deepen and expand her commitments to non-profit organizations and social justice issues in the East Bay and beyond.
Laura received her Masters in Sociology from UC San Diego, with emphases in race relations, immigration, and popular culture. She loves cooking and eating all types of food, but especially any spicy Korean dishes. When not at work, she loves traveling and taking long rides on her motorcycle.
