As Senior Grants Specialist, Kaitlin Ostlie brings over 10 years of experience in philanthropy and grants management to her work with the Kaiser Permanente funds at East Bay Community Foundation.  

Before joining EBCF, Kaitlin worked with the Minnesota Council on Foundations and went on to become the grants manager for the Thrivent Charitable Impact & Investing (formerly InFaith Community Foundation) overseeing due diligence on over $40 million in grants annually. She is currently the Co-Chair of Minnesota Chapter of PEAK Grantmaking and has previously served as the programming chair for six years.  

Kaitlin earned her BA in East Asian Studies from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She received the 2019 James L. Oberstar Fellowship for Excellence in Public Service and recently completed a Master of Public Affairs from The Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. She resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she enjoys volunteering as a Master Naturalist and wildlife rehabber specializing in bats.
