Senior Development Officer
Nicole has expertise as a place-based grantmaker and trusted philanthropic advisor to individuals and their families. As a Senior Development Officer at the East Bay Community Foundation, she specializes in advising individuals and multi-generational families in their philanthropy, helping them develop and implement their philanthropic investment strategies that align with their values. As a seasoned program officer, she managed grantmaking portfolios on behalf of the foundation in early childhood, economic development and the arts.
She is a member of a local giving circle that invests in immigrant women and girls, is a member of Northern California Grantmakers and AAPIP and serves on the steering committee of Advisors in Philanthropy. She was appointed to the Funding Advisory Committee for the City of Oakland’s Cultural Arts Department.
Prior to joining the East Bay Community Foundation in 2008, she worked in the nonprofit and private sectors, most recently working in development and marketing for small and mid-sized nonprofits.
She holds B.A degrees in Communication and Sociology – Organizational Studies from University of California, Davis and an M.A in Public Administration from California State University, East Bay. She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and a Certified 21/64 trainer.
