Business
- We engage East Bay business leaders by strategically maximizing the impact of business philanthropic investments in the East Bay;
- We create sustainable models of community services that reflect business philanthropic values;
- We expand the knowledge base of business leaders on critical needs of the East Bay and successful solution models;
- We leverage other donor investments with business philanthropy to increase impact;
- We introduce effective partners in the non-profit and public sectors;
- We provide reports of change resulting from pooled and individual philanthropic investments;
- We provide research and information reports on critical needs, successful solutions, projected concerns and impactful trends; and
- We develop leadership roles, employee involvement and recognition opportunities.
Government
- We engage East Bay government leaders to participate with the Foundation and with the private sector in efforts to pool leadership and financial resources in order to improve the lives of their constituents.
- We work with public-sector partners to create solutions.
- We work with public-sector partners in collaborations with business, philanthropy and non-profit service providers to enhance impacts of government-provided social services.
- We influence public-sector entities to ensure that the East Bay becomes an attractive and healthy environment for its diverse communities.
- We advocate on behalf of changes to public policy aimed at providing support for young children to succeed and at advancing economic development for adults and families as defined above.
Philanthropic Sector
- We identify and work with private foundations that have an interest in providing support for young children to succeed and in advancing economic development for adults and families in order to attract their support for these two issues within targeted communities of need in the East Bay.
- We seek to form collaborations among those private foundations, the East Bay Community Foundation, government, business and non-profit service providers aimed at making change.
Non-Profit Service Providers
- We identify and work with the most effective non-profit service providers working to provide support for young children to succeed and to advance economic development for adults and families.
- We invite these service providers to participate in collaborations with the East Bay Community Foundation, private foundations, government and business on behalf of making change.
