As Controller, Edward H. Harris is directly responsible for managing the Foundation’s accounting department, implementing appropriate financial controls, developing the budget, and reporting the Foundation’s financial condition. He has 17 years of experience in finance as a consultant and senior manager.
Before joining the Foundation in 2010, he worked as a consultant for five years at MattMar, a management consulting firm headquartered in Berkeley, Ca. He served as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer for various clients while at MattMar. Prior to that, he was Controller at Whalen & Co., a wireless telecommunications development firm headquartered in Lafayette, Ca. He was also founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Subsidizeit.com, a internet-based fundraising site for schools, non-profit organizations, and religious organizations. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance, both from Stanford University.
