Carolyn Doelling is Director of Philanthropic Services for the East Bay Community Foundation. In that capacity, she is responsible for relationships with and satisfaction of the more than 400 individual and institutional clients holding charitable funds managed by the Foundation.
Before joining the Foundation in 2005, Doelling for 10 years headed her own consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing, sales and service training to major international corporations such as Citibank, Wells Fargo, and Hewlett Packard.
Before establishing her own consulting firm, she was Vice President of Retail Marketing for Bank of America in San Francisco, and was a project consultant for non-profit organizations at Fern Tiger & Associates in Oakland, which devises solutions for the impact of public policy on individuals and their communities.
Doelling has long served on the governing Boards of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, the Crowden Music Center in Berkeley, and the Berkeley Public Education Foundation.
She holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from North Carolina Central University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
